All You Need to Know to Make 2009 Rock!

Do you know why you join a gym every year and go on a diet when January 1st rolls around?


And do you know why you always quit the gym and give up the diets?


…and yet you still try the same low-fat diets and follow the same gym programs – convinced that its YOU who is doing something wrong.

Well, it isn’t you.  Low fat diets don’t work and most gym programs suck.

Getting it right is actually pretty simple and several years back CrossFit came up with its statement of how to achieve world-class fitness in 100 words. 

  • Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and NO sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat.
  • Practice and train major lifts: deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics:pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstands, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast.
  • Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. ROUTINE IS THE ENEMY. Keep workouts short and intense.
  • Regularly learn and play new sports!

There is very little else you need to know – the hard part is actually putting it into practise which is what we’re here to help you with.
